We all know that children love to more, make
noise, and get creative but children also love a good story.
Today I want to share with you the story of
“The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle. I highly recommend this tale
because children love it, and the story is timeless and single. The
illustrations are beautiful and the little holes in the book are so fun to
handle.
This story shows the life cycle from a
caterpillar to a butterfly. After the baby caterpillar hatches from egg, he is
quite hungry. He looks for food and eats 1 apple, 2 pears, 3 plums, 4
strawberries, 5 oranges, a bunch of junk food, and lastly, one green leaf. He
then turns into a big caterpillar and wraps himself in a cocoon. After two
weeks, he breaks open his cocoon and is a beautiful butterfly.
After reading the book, there are many
activities and crafts you can do with your children.
For the following caterpillar craft you will
need coloured pasta beads and pipe cleaners.
Cut one red pipe cleaner in half for your
desired size of the caterpillar. Next you twist the end of the pipe cleaner to
block the beads form falling off. Then you thread the smaller colour pasta
beads no to the pipe cleaners, trying to mimic the colours of the hungry
caterpillar book cover. To complete the head of the caterpillar you can use two
red colour pasta beads and twist the pipe cleaner to have them closed off and
positioned on top to look like a head.
Bend the pipe cleaner into the shape of the
hungry caterpillar.
Todos sabemos que a los niños les
encanta hacer ruido, moverse y ser creativos, pero a los niños también les gusta
una buena historia.
Hoy quiero compartir con vosotros
la historia de "Una oruga glotona"
por Eric Carle.
Recomiendo este cuento porque, además de que a
los niños les encanta, es una historia eterna y simple. Las ilustraciones son bonitas,
y los pequeños agujeros en el libro son muy divertidos de manejar.
Esta historia muestra el ciclo de
vida de una oruga a una mariposa.
Después de que la oruga bebé sale
del cascarón de huevo, tiene bastante hambre. Se busca comida y come: 1
manzana, 2 peras, 3 ciruelas, 4 fresas, 5 naranjas, un montón de comida
chatarra y por último, una hoja verde.
Luego se convierte en una gran
oruga y se envuelve en un crisálida.
Después de dos semanas, la oruga
rompe su crisálida y ahora es una hermosa mariposa.
Después de leer el libro, hay
muchas actividades y destrezas para hacer con los niños.
ACTIVIDAD DIVERTIDA
Para la siguiente manualidad de
la oruga, necesitaréis vuestros abalorios de pasta coloreada, y limpiapipas.
Corta un limpiapipas rojo por la
mitad, o por el tamaño deseado para la oruga. A continuación se retuerce el final del limpiapipas para
bloquear los abalorios y que no se caigan. Entonces, enhebráis el abalorio de pasta
coloreada con el limpiapipas, intentando imitar los colores de la oruga glotona.
Para completar la cabeza de la oruga podéis usar dos abalorios de color rojo
volver a darle vueltas al limpiapipas para tenerlos encerrados y colocados en
la parte superior, para parecer una cabeza.
